How to get your appointment

  1. Apply online

Create your account at ttp.cbp.dhs.gov, fill out the application and pay $120 USD. Minors under 18 are free.

  2. Wait for conditional approval

CBP runs a background check. It can take weeks to months.

  3. Book your interview here

In your TTP account, pick this center and a day. Each applicant has their own appointment.

What to bring to the interview

Two valid government IDs (for example a passport and a border crossing card or driver's license), plus the registration and insurance of any car you are registering. A missing document means another appointment.

The only fee is CBP's, paid at ttp.cbp.dhs.gov. Nobody needs to charge you to "process" it.

From Juárez: the Línea Exprés

To use the SENTRI lane from Juárez, you also need the Chihuahua Border Bridges Trust's Línea Exprés: a windshield tag with its own yearly fee. You set it up with your valid SENTRI card and your vehicle authorization letter at the Trust's office next to the Zaragoza bridge, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
