DeConcini, Mariposa or Morley: which to use
The Nogales crossing has three ports. DeConcini is downtown, the busiest, and serves both vehicles and pedestrians into downtown Nogales, Arizona. Mariposa, to the west, carries heavy commercial traffic and usually flows better for driving across. Morley is pedestrian only. If you are driving and DeConcini is backed up, Mariposa is often the better bet. Compare the live times above.
Best times to cross at Nogales
Northbound, weekday mornings, when commuters and students cross, and weekends tend to be the heaviest. Early morning and mid-afternoon on weekdays usually have lighter waits. Keep in mind that Nogales runs on Arizona time, which does not change for daylight saving, so check the local hour before planning your crossing.
SENTRI and Ready Lane
The DeConcini and Mariposa ports have SENTRI and Ready Lane to cross faster if you have the document. SENTRI is the best time investment for daily crossers; Ready Lane works with RFID chip documents. The Nogales page shows which lanes are open and their live wait.
