We cover the main Mexico–United States border crossings, including Tijuana–San Diego (San Ysidro and Otay Mesa), Calexico–Mexicali, Nogales, Laredo–Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa–McAllen and Matamoros–Brownsville, plus the six Ciudad Juárez–El Paso bridges.

In Baja California: San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, PedWest and Cross Border Xpress in Tijuana, plus Calexico West and Calexico East in Mexicali. In Sonora: DeConcini, Mariposa and Morley in Nogales, and the Douglas–Agua Prieta port. In Chihuahua: the six Ciudad Juárez–El Paso bridges (Santa Fe, Puente Libre, Lerdo, Zaragoza, Tornillo and Santa Teresa). In Coahuila: the two Piedras Negras bridges and the Ciudad Acuña bridge. In Tamaulipas: the bridges of Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Nuevo Progreso and Matamoros.

Where do the wait times come from?

They start from CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) data, which we update every few minutes. At every crossing, the time is adjusted when there are fresh community reports. We show waits for vehicles, pedestrians, and, where available, the SENTRI and Ready Lane lanes.

How do I time my wait in line?

Accepted Answer

Tap "Time my crossing" when you join the line and pick your port or bridge. Once you clear inspection, tap "I crossed!": your real time is saved as a report and helps the people behind you. It works at every passenger crossing and keeps counting even if you close the page.

What time has the shortest wait at the border?

In general, weekday early mornings and mid-mornings tend to have lighter waits. Afternoons, Sundays, and holidays are the heaviest at almost every crossing. Still, check your crossing’s live number, since every port is different.

Does SENTRI work at every crossing?

Most large crossings have SENTRI and Ready Lane, which greatly reduce the wait. Each crossing’s page shows whether that port has SENTRI and its live wait.
