The Tornillo Bridge, officially the Tornillo-Guadalupe International Bridge, connects Práxedis G. Guerrero, Chihuahua with Tornillo, Texas. It sits about 60 km southeast of downtown Ciudad Juárez, making it the most remote crossing in the region, used mainly for local and commercial traffic. It is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Tornillo is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Because of the distance, about 60 km from downtown Juárez, it is not practical for daily crossings from the city. If you live or work around Práxedis G. Guerrero or the Juárez Valley, it may be your closest crossing.
The Tornillo Bridge is mainly used for local valley traffic and for agricultural and commercial cargo in the area. For travelers leaving central Juárez, Santa Fe, Puente Libre, or Zaragoza are almost always the better choice, since they are much closer and open longer hours.
As a small crossing, Tornillo usually has manageable lines, but it is best not to leave it until just before the 10 p.m. close. Mid-morning generally flows well. Check the live wait time above before making the trip out here.
