About San Ysidro Port of Entry
San Ysidro has connected downtown Tijuana with San Diego since 1906; the current facility dates to 1973. It is the busiest port of entry in the world by individual crossings, handling roughly 70,000 vehicles and 20,000 pedestrians a day, and links Mexican Federal Highway 1 with Interstate 5 on the U.S. side.
